...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast South Dakota,
northeast Nebraska, northwest and west central Iowa and
southwest Minnesota.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The gusty winds along with afternoon
humidity levels of 30 to 40 percent will create near-critical
fire weather conditions in areas where grasses are dry enough to
burn. Fires which start will spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile or light-weight vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
