...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY...

Above normal temperatures, combined with very low relative
humidity values and gusty winds, will lead to very high fire
danger today. Westerly winds may gust as high as 20 mph late this
morning through mid-afternoon. By late afternoon, a strong front
will move from north to south across the area. This front will
bring northerly wind gusts over 30 mph as it moves through,
arriving near Highway 14 by 4pm and near Interstate 90 by 7pm.

People are urged to exercise extreme care with respect to outdoor
activities that could cause grass fires. Avoid equipment that can
cause sparks near dry grass or brush. Do not toss cigarettes on
the ground. Report new fires quickly to the nearest fire
department or law enforcement office.
